If you have downloaded CopyText 5 then all the neccessary files are included in the setup routine.

CopyText 3.1 needs the Visual Basic Runtime files that are listed below. Please make sure that these files are in your Windows\System folder, (Winnt\System32 for Windows 2000/NT4) and that they are the most recent versions as listed below.

MSVBVM50.DLL Version 05.00.4319 (SP2)
COMCTL32.OCX Version 6.00.8022
TABCTL32.OCX Version 6.00.8418

CopyText 3.1 - Small Setup

CopyText 5

1. Double-click on the downloaded copytext.exe file.
2. Setup will start.

Everything will install automatically. There is no need to download any of the VB Runtime files. The Setup will create a folder in the default path of Program Files\CopyText. It will also place shortcuts in your Start menu in the Programs list. A Help file is also provided.

CopyText 3.1 - Small Setup

1. Please make sure you have: MSVBVM50.DLL Version 05.00.4319 (SP2), and the two OCX files as listed at the top of this page.
2. If you have downloaded MSVBVM50.DLL or any of the OCX files, these need to be copied first into your Windows\System folder, (Winnt\System32 for Windows 2000/NT4) -But only if these files are NEWER than the ones you already have.

WINDOWS 9x/ME
------------------
a. Copy the files into your Windows\System folder
b. Click on the 'Start' button in the task tray.
c. Then click on Run...
d. Type in: regsvr32 c:\windows\system\comctl32.ocx
or regsvr32 c:\windows\system\tabctl32.ocx
or regsvr32 c:\windows\system\msvbvm50.dll

WINDOWS 2000/NT4
---------------------
a. Copy the files into your Winnt\System32 folder
b. Click on the 'Start' button in the task tray.
c. Then click on Run...
d. Type in: regsvr32 c:\winnt\system32\comctl32.ocx
or regsvr32 c:\winnt\system32\tabctl32.ocx
or regsvr32 c:\winnt\system32\msvbvm50.dll

3. Once you have downloaded the CopyText zip file. Unzip it into a temporary folder, then double-click on the Setup.exe file. It will install all the files into the default folder 'Program Files\CopyText' and place a shortcut into the Start Menu. A Help file is also provided.

Important: I cannot guarantee that CopyText 3.1 will work on Windows ME or Windows 2000, although there is no reason why it should not.
